Nothing signals the arrival of spring like a festive St. Patrick’s Day-themed party. It’s a tradition that dates back centuries, and in the US, everyone is at least a little bit Irish on St Patrick’s Day!
Parades and pub-crawls are great, but throwing your own St. Patrick’s Day party can be just as much fun! Here are some ideas for hosting a stylish and modern St. Patrick’s Day gathering.
Naturally green cocktails are a must, and of course, a Guinness cocktail will be the hit of the party! Check out our tasty suggestions below.
Corned beef and cabbage can get a modern makeover by creating Corned Beef & Cabbage Mini Sliders. Slice the corned beef and top with a slaw instead of the usual boiled cabbage; so tasty and easy to eat! For dessert, how about Chocolate Guinness Brownies? Sooo good!
Shamrock and leprechaun cutouts, Irish flags, and green streamers are the typical choices when it comes to creating a St. Patrick’s Day atmosphere. But if you would like to try something different, fill the space with Irish bells (a plant whose green flowers look like church bells) and gold chrysanthemums. The bells are said to bring good luck, and the chrysanthemums symbolize wealth. Create a centerpiece for the table that incorporates the holiday’s traditional colors, but leave the cartoon shamrocks behind. Filling mason jars with green, gold and white candies and tying ribbons around the top with shamrock name tags is a quick and easy way to make sure guests don’t leave the party empty-handed.
