On a warm summer’s night we gathered with friends and neighbors on our roof top deck overlooking Damen Avenue. As usual, everyone was sampling the latest from Stirrings, tonight, it was Lemonade and Blood Orange. With Ketel One Citroen and a splash of Stirrings Ginger Ale, the Lemonade was quite the refresher in a tall glass with plenty of ice. Not to be outdone, Blood Orange added an exotic twist to a Smirnoff Orange Vodka Martini. It was a last minute get together, with nothing really planned. Fortunately, the cocktails were elegant and refined, even though they were simply prepared. With good friends and a cool breeze off of Lake Michigan, it was like a perfect Nantucket moment.
